More swarming! This weekend was a busy weekend for bee swarms. I captured a swarm in Murrysville and a few in Monroeville. So far, I don't think any are from my hives.
Swarms are nothing to fear. They are actually an amazing and beautiful natural sight.
Swarming is part of the honey bees reproductive cycle. It is a form of asexual reproduction.
Swarms are generally very docile.
If you see a swarm, leave it alone. Take a photo or two and then call a beekeeper.
